I can't give this more than 3 stars, where it works, it's o. k. but it won't download from Youtube, which was what I mostly wanted, or X apparently, so there are significant limitations. Also, as many others have mentioned, the ads are an absolute pain, very intrusive and seemingly able to open other apps - I don't like that! Some ads on a free app o. k., but on this one I feel they are way over the top.

Really good app that has served me well over the years. But expect lots of ads whenever you pop the app up or download stuff. Usually, they're skipable, so it's not too bad. Now my one major complaint though, is that as of recently, this app has shown to be pretty vulnerable to a certain scam I encountered. One that locks your screen and pressures you into calling THEM with your own phone number to call them by. I'm not sure if it's malaware or not, but I had to delete the app because of it.

Update 2 Mar 2025 = the 'tap & hold' functionality has returned! So you can now tap & hold to save an image or open a link in a new tab. Definitely a crucial feature that's made a welcome return! Please don't remove this again InShot 🙏 ----- The app no longer let's you tap and hold on a link to open it in another tab. You could tap and hold and open in new tab just find up until a month or so ago... Please bring it back - it's basic functionality for a browser.
