This app keeps bringing up parental control that I have to type in numbers to access. It does not register that I have typed the code. I cannot access the settings menu or download sections with my son's favourite characters. He is very disappointed. The app will also occasionally load only a black screen instead of the map. You can still hear the sounds, and it will respond audibly if you tap the screen, as though you were selecting something, but there is nothing on screen.

Hi Ariana, we're sorry you're having these issues, please can you email us at cbeebiesinteractive@bbc.co.uk with your device details and screenshots of the issues so we can ask our developers to investigate? Many thanks.

I appreciate you provide this app for free which is great (wait for someone to point out the licence fee!) but since it's been recently updated we really miss the map we could move around and explore/interact with. Why do things have to change? Edit* thanks for your response BBC, I would argue playtime island does what you say this app is now trying to do. The beauty of the previous map based interface was the exploration and discovery. Oh well, never mind (and thanks anyway).

Hi, thank you for your review and feedback. We have updated the app with a simple carousel so activities are now categorised by learning area and CBeebies show, to make it easier to find a learning game for your child. The app is also built with new technology so it is more technically robust and easier to make improvements. Best, CBeebies Apps

App ruined by removal of map! Both my son and daughter loved exploring the map to find things, this has now been removed and replaced with a very dull unimaginative carousel menu which does not excite or engage children, they've lost interest in this app. Very disappointed family. Reply to developer feedback: Yes all the games are still there but my kids probably spent an equal amount of time moving around the map exploring as they did playing the games, so the removal of the map is a loss!

Hi, thank you for your review. We have updated the app with a simple carousel so activities are now categorised to make it easier to find a learning game for your child. All the Go Explore games are still in the app. The app is also built with new technology so it is more technically robust and easier to make improvements. Best, CBeebies Apps

What’s new

NEW GAMES: Double the fun with two new learning games from CBeebies Learn!
Join Bing for a fun new game called ‘Time to Shop’. Your child can have fun shopping with Bing and Flop whilst collecting the fruit and vegetables on their list. The learning focuses on the Early Years Foundation Stage area of ‘Understanding the World’.
The second exciting game helps with learning to count. In the ‘CBeebies Bubbles’ game children can blow, catch and pop the bubbles with the CBeebies bugs here to help.
