Great app that works well. It would be nice to have a small (1x1) widget to switch the FTP server on and off. Ideally with different colours for the status. Reply: Thanks for your suggestion. I do use that, but it means I have to remember to swipe down (at least once) just to check its status. The advantage of a small widget is that the status can be seen quickly without any actions. It would also mean only one press would be required to switch the server on or off.

FINALLY!! In my quest to find a file explorer that was as good looking as the old solid explorer (not the new solid explorer) it was quite hard to find. Then I found mi explorer but only a year or so it was starting to get ads, full screen ads as well!! Didn't trust it to do what I need it to get done. Anyways, this gem. Material File explorer. Well done dev, well done. This is clean and this is how you follow material guidelines. So far the functions work and it just looks appealing to use.

The Material Files app is excellent. It has most of the File Manager features I will ever need and unlike some other FMs can see the media cards in my camera when connected via a USB-C OTG cable. This allows me to use my phone as a backup device while shooting in the field. The one feature that I would like to see added would be multi-select. Maybe a 'select all' feature would be a good stop-gap addition in the nearer term. Great app. But either Android updates or app updates have broken it.
