Tldr. Slow start, okay for a while , but ultimatey is pay to win. Great game to start with, but as you progress it becomes increasingly evident the chance aspects are rigged heavily to hinder progress, meaning the only meaningful way to progress is their micro transactions. Dice evolution specifically shows dozens of high level rewards for each dice hunt, but for 'free hunts' (earned through length grinds) it always lands on the lowest option. Very disappointed.

Surprising find in the Play Store. This is a kind of solo implementation of Dice Masters - it is fun! The first several games don't allow for much tactics, but then you start facing monsters with interesting abilities and your decisions really do matter. Of course, there's randomness, but that's part of the fun! What I like most about this game is that you do not need to pay a single pence to play and enjoy it. The things you can pay for are really just extras. Very recommended!

Excellent game until you reach around episode 40 of the story, at which point the 'card power' needed ramps up at a pace faster than you can level them up. In short, you hit a dirty stinking pay wall and can't progress without grinding for days or pumping money into the 'dice hunts' (read loot boxes) without any control over what comes out. Happy to watch ads for a boost, happy to pay once to unlock ad free / content. Deeply unhappy about paying through the nose to gamble for progress.
