Tested it against a real compass and the readings from the app after calibration were as per the compass. No-adds :) trustworthy as it uses no permissions unless you want to use true north, in which case you can enable location. and its free:) Though after performing the figure of 8 to calibrate, I was expecting the app to detect it was calibrated and put out a pop-up with a sound to actually indicate calibration is complete.

Exactly what I wanted when confronted with a need to suddenly find the Christmas Star in a field, in the dark and rain. Does everything you expect from a compass and didn't have to spend 10 minutes (in a field, in the dark and rain) waving my arm in figure 8s to only achieve "moderate" accuracy and then be confronted with multiple options I didn't want. Lovely, will keep it installed.

First impressions are good, easy to install & set up. Seems accurate. True north function is useful but remember to check the difference between your map's grid north and true and magnetic north (mag north changes over time). Useful app so I can recommend it for that but never rely solely on your phone for navigation, learn to use a paper map & basic compass. A handy extra function would be to enable setting local declination of magnetic to true/grid north.
