UPDATE As always, a simple problem... Once you know that this app will not work if you use a VPN. I am leaving the one star review though, as I am still very cross and nobody has mentioned that VPN must be disabled. Absolute rage inducing piece of **** Log on, you MUST register & create an account, once that's done the software connects, then crashes. From that point on it won't even connect again until a full restart of the PHONE, not just the app. Hard to think of how it could be worse.

Make sure your android phone's OS is 9.0 or above while 15.0 or above if it's iOS, and clear the cache of the app in the settings. Searching for a recipe? Scrolling through the list, selecting one to look at and then going back doesn't remember your place, sending you back to the top of the search every time with search results randomised. Ridiculous oversight. And no dark mode. This app is clearly just designed to have an app and not to actually be meaningfully used. Also, the share links are next to bloody useless.

I am very happy with the device, but the phone app does not work properly at all. I tried it on two Android phones, 14 and 11. On both phones, every time you leave the app and re-open it, you have to clear the app data and sign in again so that the app can communicate with the device, otherwise it displays "connecting" indefinitely.
