Opera News: breaking & local

Too many pop-up ads, and many with audio as well! The app seems quite good, similar to Google News, but it is nearly unusable with so many pop-up ads. If you peek the news at work, everyone will now within a minute with the blast of audio from the ad. They don't even give you the option to pay to disable ads, you are just expected to eat them constantly while trying to read the news. A SOLID PASS!

I can't post any comments any more 😭 I keep getting 'we need your consent' appearing and I can't find a way to make it go away. I think there needs to be a way to remove/minimize the bottom bar so I can press 'accept cookies'. Apart from this I have been using this news app a lot, but recently many articles are not showing, just the headline and it's getting quite frustrating. Update: haven't seen this issue for a while now, and as it's one of my most used apps, should really up the stars !

I came from Google News and found this to be much better as it's similarly laid out, but the paywalls made me leave. So I came to this and started using this for a couple days and yes it's very very good. BUT you have so many damn popups after reading an article forcing me and others to watch a video advert. Additionally you have several adverts in articles which is highly frustrating. I'd be happy to pay for a pro version and bypass this, but you don't. I shall be uninstalling this. Thanks.
