Access Permissions:
The following access permissions are required for the SmartHome (formerly MSmartHome) app to provide necessary services. If you do not allow them, you can still use the app except for the related services.
- Bluetooth: Find and connect to nearby devices via Bluetooth or BLE.
- Location: Detect home WLAN network information to add device. Check your location to automate actions when location changes. Search for local weather information in "Scene" function.
- Camera: Scan QR codes to add device. Upload photo to report a repair or feedback.
- Album: Scan saved QR codes. Edit your profile photo. Upload a photo to report a repair or feedback.

Kudos to the support team who reacted promptly and helped solve my last issue. BUT it seems at least once a week 1 or 2 of my aircon units lose connectivity with my wifi. One of the units is within 1 metre of the router and the other is even closer to a wi-fi booster. All my other products reconnect automatically if the wi-fi goes down or their app is updated but that isn't the case with your Smart home. UPDATE: I've now had 10 days straight without having to reinstall WiFi on the units

I have avoided giving a rating thus far, preferring to first provide feedback and allow support to respond to my issues. Having had no response, my rating as follows. Former Midea app worked perfectly (for me). Forced to migrate to MSmartHome, this app cannot acquire or maintain link to my AC. Useless. Update...the AC units now randomly switch on/off. I have now deleted my account and removed AC from WiFi. A serious failure in product services.

Dear user, kindly 1- Delete the device from the application. 2- Log out from the application and log in again. 3- Power off your WI-FI and device for 1 minute and power it on again. 4- Restart the connection between the device and the router again. 5- If the issue persists, please try to connect the device through a Hotspot Connection.

Simply doesn't work. I have tried all the solutions the company automatically trots out and it doesn't work. I have two wall mounted ac units and the experience is the same with both. Instead of telling people workarounds that don't work, write an app that does! Edit: the company clearly is incapable of learning based on their response. I am uninstalling and using the old app with a different registration. That way this one might have improved by the end of 2023.
