I can't speak to how much this assists with security, but from a user perspective this app is extremely disruptive. Recently I needed to get e-tickets from my email & couldn't because this app had placed a hold until I "rechecked". Without signal, this couldn't happen and so I couldn't access my tickets. I've had several experiences like the above. It seems to want to check indiscrimiately & prevents me using several MS apps when I need to. I'm probably going to have to delete the app.

Didn't work at all to start with. After half an hour with IT dept at work fiddling with my phone and pc, got it to work for a while, but now it interferes and prevents opening Teams from my personal email for non-work calls. Why can't Microsoft make Outlook secure without requiring us to install 2 versions of Outlook, 2 versions of Teams, Edge (I much prefer Brave or Firefox) and taking up several gigabytes of my phone's memory?

As usual, not a well thought out/horrible Microsoft management product. It allows only one account to manage the device, breaking any additional AD logins for Teams or Email which also require device management. Next to that, it's once again a glorified data stealer of Microsoft to get access to data on your device it shouldn't have in the first place. This app has no right/use-case to access your media (photos & videos), contacts, etc.
