Back to 1 star... Total un-reLIABLITY... I though we'd solved the app not recording in the background... however it just dumped a very important 160 minute interview due to poor internet connection... I HAD NO CLUE THAT IT HAD STOPPED DURING THE SESSION. An absolute waste of time and absolutely no surety that it will do the job I expect of it. That's it... Kaput... Gone... End... bye bye!

As others highlighted, recognition of regional differences is not great. Recognition of numbers and Greek letters (math, finance etc) are also an issue. Punctuation doesn't work at all (in sentence but also in hyperlinks etc). The key limitation is interference with other apps such as whatsapp (Signal messages) that make it impossible to continue a paused recording. At nearly Ā£100 per year that is a few too many issues, especially as bulk upload requires the even pricier business subscription.

I've had throat cancer recently, and actually on my vocal cords,...so my voice isn't great and comes across extremely hoarse, but that didn't have much of an affect on the transcription...which is immediate. If there was 6 stars...you would ha e that too. I haven't used any of the many and varied magical things that this can do, but I can be sure that I will be putting Otter through its paces. Genius.
