Its ok, pretty good, except for a couple of things which bug me all the time.. The incessant "Contains strong language" etc content warning dialogue boxes you have to agree to to play so many programmes; I've already told you my age, you have my profile, why keep nannying me this way? It drives me nuts! The other is, there's no option to Play All Episodes. That seems such a simple thing to fix...

Issue with the most recent update. When casting to TV via Chromecast, the iPlayer app's play buttons etc are obscured at the bottom of the phone screen by the phone's Home buttons. The phone's status bar at the top of the screen also appears to overlay the app when casting. This is on Google Pixel 7 Pro.

the app has suddenly automatically started playing in portrait mode which means if I want to watch in landscape I have to turn on my auto rotate which is often off. No way to switch this feature off or change the rotation on the app. it's the only stream site I'm aware of that does this. very stupid.

Hello Ben, thanks for getting in touch. When your device autorotate button is set to 'locked': during playback tap the screen to make controls visible, you will now see an icon in the bottom corner of the screen, when tapped the video will fill your screen (without altering the device autorotate). I hope this helps! Thanks - iPlayer Mobile App team
What’s new
We've made some changes to make iPlayer more accessible to all! This release introduces portrait playback so you no longer need to rotate your device to watch your favourite shows, and audio description for live shows which can be turned on via settings in playback.
