I hate Sonos and resent investing in 6 speakers since 2014 when the app was glitchy but I assumed it would improve. Nope, not even close, it's just got worse. Main speaker is hardwired into the fibre modem yet still drops out regularly (others on WiFi continue). Speakers fail and stop playing on a regular basis; speakers regularly disappear from the app; a couple of times a week the app will tell me I have no speakers at all; Alexa functionality hasn't worked for almost a year. The list goes on.

I don't know what Sonos have done. But the connectivity on my Play 5 Gen 1 was always pretty poor given Sonos is one of the top brands. But they seem to have taken a poor system, remodelled it, and made it so poor that the wireless function just doesn't work and, even when Hard Wired, the Spotify connection is now unnecessarily over complicated and clunky. You get better functionality from cheap chinese stuff. Absolutely shocking.

Got there eventually after having to plug Internet cable directly into the speaker what a long winded process and still sometimes we get pauses within the songs. For such a wealthy company you would think they could develop good software as there hardware is actually excellent. I know so many people not using Sonos anymore because of the bad software experience that comes with it. If only they made it easy to connect would be such a good product.
