Great app for finding lyrics & learning the meanings behind them. I do have a small issue with the Suggest Genius Lyrics feature. For example, Taylor Swift has rerecorded some of her albums, & these are labeled as Taylor's Version. When I play a song like Style (Taylor's Version), the app suggests lyrics from the older, original version instead. It seems like the app doesn’t fully recognize songs with parentheses in the title. I hope this gets improved because the rest of the app is excellent.

Thanks for your review! We did it like this because on platforms like YouTube, songs frequently have suffixes like "(Official Music Video)", which causes issues when trying to match with a Genius song page. To prevent this, we try to strip out anything in parenthesis. It's a trade-off, but in most cases it makes the end result more accurate.

Is it possible to get a paid subscription to remove the ads & allow us to open the links in our own external browser? The constant ad privacy warning that pops up every time I open a story is just annoying. I have to click OK then the X on the pop up. The ads in the pop up are blocked anyway. It's just a bad user experience. I'm happy to pay but not by bombarding me with ads. This is the only app I use with any sort of ads cause the lyrics part is that good.Thanks in advance & hope.

When this app works, it's great. Unfortunately it rarely works properly. I want it to send a notification when the song I'm playing is one that it recognises, so that I can touch the notification and see the lyrics - simple, eh? I have tested this by playing a song, and asking Genius to identify the song - it returns the lyrics as it should do. But if I play the same song, without asking Genius to identify then there's no notification. Please fix!!
