About this app

Brickit helps you build new things with your old bricks.

1. Spread out your bricks and take a photo of them. The app will scan the photo, identifying and counting the details.

2. Decide what to build. Brickit suggests building ideas depending on what bricks you have. Choose from robots, kangaroos, airplane, and more!

3. Build your creations using our step-by-step instructions. The instructions are useful, but you don’t have to stick to them exclusively. We give you ideas, and you decide what to make of them.

4. Find any brick you want easily. Just choose a detail in our catalog, and the app will highlight it in your pile. The bricks you need in the instructions are highlighted in the steps where you need them.

Everything works perfectly exept from the scan. It is terrible. Everytime I scan the bricks it kicks me out of the app and I tried using it 3 maybe 4 times and each and everytime I tried it wouldn't work and it kept kicking me out. But other than that the posts are OK and there are some few ideas ig but you guys have to fix the scan so it doesn't kick people out of the app.

Nice idea but rather glitchy on my phone. Location of some of the required pieces isn't always highlighted on the 'pile map' making it difficult to find them. Piece recognition also fails spectacularly, often detecting a piece that's not actually in the pile. Quite often the app points to a piece that's not what it 'thinks' it is. Edit: yes, I agree, the angle of inclination is a key. You could improve the app by making it process two or more photos taken from different angles.

Now we will try to figure out what is going wrong. Difficulties are often associated with insufficient lighting, the angle of inclination, or too large or small a distance when photographing. The optimal distance is 50-70 cm. Have you tried our test picture? Does recognition work there?

I intended to cancel what I thought was a monthly subscription only to discover I was charged £33! - I used the app twice! And don't intend to use further. Not an acceptable way to bill people. Whilst I can see it has potential the suggested designs are a bit basic. For the aforementioned reason, I was about to cancel / uninstall when the subscription cost hit my account. Unhappy customer.
