NOTE ON GPS SUPPORT: Strava depends on GPS for recording activities. In some devices, the GPS does not work properly and Strava will not record effectively. If your Strava recordings show poor location estimation behavior, please try to update the operating system to the most recent version. There are some devices which have consistently poor performance with no known remedies. On these devices, we restrict installation of Strava, for example the Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 and the Galaxy Express 2. It used to be a decent app a few years ago. Now it's asking money for everything and on top of that in a dodgy way, deceiving with a "free" trial and not showing how much would be the subscription. To me it doesn't make any sense to use it anymore. There's plenty of other free apps which can record a sport activity. Bye bye greedy strava. You are being uninstalled.

Have used this app for a while and on the whole is great, but the money grabbing and pushing a pay wall onto what used to be free features is bs, along with the straight up lying to get clicks on best efforts only to have a pop up. also, recently ran an official 10k but Strava seemed to think it was a 9.99, so wouldn't show in best efforts, as I bagged a PR. a feature that just allowed you to request for your average pace and time plus penalty if the distance is less than 100/200 metres is easy

Great app for running and easy to customise for other activities. only issues I've found, it goes into dark mode quickly, be great if there was a toggle to keep the screen on and I'd love to go premium..but very pricey for a solo account, add that if there are several people in the family it's too expensive. why not have a family version which reflects a better price?...
