GETTING STARTED

You must be an existing Cumberland Internet Banking customer to use the app and have previously registered your mobile phone number with us.

To register to use the app you need to complete the following steps:

- Download the app and select 'Register' from the main menu
- Read and accept the Terms and Conditions
- Enter your Internet Banking Customer Number and Access Code
- We'll then send you a One-Time security code to the mobile phone number you have registered with us. Enter the code to verify your device.
- Finally, you'll be asked to choose and confirm a 5 digit passcode to enter each time you log on. You can also set up Fingerprint Authentication on compatible devices.

We will not charge you to use our Mobile Banking app, although use may incur data use charges from your network provider.

Your eligible deposits with Cumberland Building Society are protected up to a total of £85,000 by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme, the UK's deposit protection scheme.

Awful, moved from TSB to Cumberland. The Cumberland mobile app just does not send a verification to my phone. So phoned the office at Carlisle, cant help, phoned o2 not their problem, they checked and advised to do it through my lap top, still no go. Ridiculous.... all other apps work fine at sending verifications, notifications. Just the Cumberland app is the problem.

The Cumberland does very well to have a current account at all given that it's a small regional building society (and aside from the Nationwide the only other building society in the UK to offer current A/C's).As long as you understand that this app and the current account offering is very basic & limited in functionality i.e you can set up standing orders but you cannot cancel or amend them,you have to phone customer services to do that!! However friendly staff & no foreign debit card fees.

Hi Mark, thanks for your feedback. You can amend standing orders yourself via Internet Banking, as well as calling Customer Care. This functionality may also be available in the app next year. Thanks, Keith.

The Cumberland BS has, in my opinion, improved the internet banking recently. Any payments or transfers I make are reaching family members and others quicker than previously. Thank you.
