About this game

Play a crossover variation of Sudoku and Kakuro! SumSudoku, also known as Killer Sudoku, are addictive logic puzzles best described as a cross between Sudoku and Kakuro. Using pure logic and simple add/subtract calculations, these fascinating puzzles offer endless fun and intellectual entertainment to puzzle fans of all skills and ages.

Each puzzle consists of a 9x9 Sudoku grid containing areas surrounded by dark borders. The object is to fill all empty squares so that the numbers 1 to 9 appear exactly once in each row, column and 3x3 box, and the sum of the numbers in each area is equal to the clue in the area's top-left corner. In addition, no number may be used in the same area more than once.

The game includes helpful features such as showing possible sum number combinations in an area and pencilmarks to make temporary placement of numbers in the grid. To help see the puzzle progress, graphic previews in the puzzle list show the progress of all puzzles in a volume as they are being solved. A Gallery view option provides these previews in a larger format.

For more fun, SumSudoku contains no ads and includes a Weekly Bonus section providing an extra free puzzle each week.

Great! A couple of suggestions (playing on hard level atm) I'd like to be able to choose the colour for highlighting the pencil numbers. I can't see the yellow very well. And.. Ok I've forgotten the other idea, I'll come back to add it if I remember. Thanks for a great app. I love that buying extra packs is affordable

Very good. Really challenging puzzles to keep you occupied. I found even the easy puzzles quite difficult, some taking half an hour to solve. Small problem, I dislike that you can get away with making mistakes by just pressing back a couple of times, and I don't like the display much either, but I'm just nit-picking. The substance of the game is great, and the ads are not overly intrusive, which is a big deal with me. Thanks.

Thank you for your feedback, but we don't understand what you mean by "the ads are not intrusive" as our app has no ads at all. Could you please explain? Maybe there is some malware on your device which is showing ads? You are also welcome to send us an email to support@conceptispuzzles.com if you prefer.

It's alright, but weirdly leans towards giant blocks with little restriction (e.g. "18" in 5 blocks), which can get gruelling. [EDIT: -1 star for a kind of rude "why not stick to the very easy puzzles until you're ready" response from the developer! I managed every free puzzle of the 90 starter ones without hints, thanks.]

Thank you for your feedback, but why not go for the vert easy puzzles first? There is a free pack called "Very Easy Starters" with puzzles much easier than the ones you describe. Start with these first and then later on make your way to the harder ones after learning the different techniques.
